World Cosplay Summit USA is thrilled to announce a WCS USA Preliminary event at Naka-Kon 2020!
Naka-Kon began in 2005 as a single-day event at the University of Kansas and has now grown into 3 day event with over 10,000 attendees in Overland Park. The WCS USA Preliminary will run as a part of their annual Cosplay Contest taking place on Saturday, March 14 at 4pm. In preparation for this additional contest, they have allowed extra time to apply to the event! You can find more information about the contest rules and application here. If you have any questions you can connect directly with the WCS USA or Naka-Kon Cosplay Contest at wcsusa@anime-expo.org and cosplay@naka-kon.com .
WCS Team USA 2018, JewelCat Cosplay, will attend as cosplay guests and will be judging the WCS USA Preliminary as well as the Naka-Kon Cosplay Contest. Alumni and WCS Organizer at the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation Diana Tolin will also be in attendance as an Industry Appearance and to host a WCS USA Panel with Jewel Cat on Sunday, March 15 at 11:30am where attendees can ask questions about World Cosplay Summit events and learn about what it takes to become WCS Team USA Representatives!
We would like to thank the incredible Naka-Kon Cosplay Team for bringing this Preliminary to their beautiful event and look forward to meeting all of the cosplayers and seeing who will be joining the WCS USA Finals at Anime Expo 2020!
See you at Naka-Kon!
