GarnetHart Costumiers are Garnet Runestar and J.Hart Design. They were selected at Anime Expo 2019, where they qualified in opulent costumes of the Good Hunter and Yharnam from the video game Bloodborne. They represented the United States in multiple events over 11 days, cosplaying from Princess Jellyfish, Paradise Kiss, and Howl’s Moving Castle. They pre-qualified for the final Championship Round in Japan as one of 8 teams selected in the first edition of the WCS Tokyo Round, a runway style exhibition of each team’s championship costumes. At the final Championship Round, they placed 2nd overall and became the first team to win the Biore Award for Excellence in Makeup.
